Mens fashion has changed a lot recently. There was a time when men always followed the latest fashions, but in more modern times it has sometimes been felt that being concerned about fashion is considered to be rather effeminate. Although men have always cared about fashion, they have not always felt able to be so open about it.
There is still a generation of men who feel that fashion is something that is not relevant to them and they buy clothes that are comfortable. However, the younger generations do care about what they look like. They not only want to take pride in their appearance but also want to be seen wearing clothes which are designed by famous designers or that are in the latest styles.
It can sometimes be difficult to find clothes which are not cut in the latest fashions and even those men who claim not to follow fashions, are forced to because they cannot buy anything else. They should not shy away from it though. Fashions can be fun, practical and help to keep you looking good.
Fashion can even show a lot about you. There are some fashions which are appropriate to certain ages for example. Some which are associated with certain careers and others with class. The reason that some people think fashion is so important is because they want to look like they belong in a certain box. Even those that say they do not care about fashion and wear comfortable clothing still fit in a box, they just do not think that they do.
We do judge people by what they wear, even if we claim that we do not and that is why it is important to dress appropriately. Even if we feel we do not want to follow fashion, we still dress in a way that we feel is appropriate for us.
