Brain Balance – A New Concept in School Counseling

 

The Brain Balance Center is an after school learning center that provides a curriculum of cognitive behavioral therapy, music, healthy physical activities, self-help skills training, and nutritional advice that says that it helps children with learning and developmental disabilities develop. It is the brainchild of Dr. William Sears, founder of Sears & Roebuck Department Stores, who also is a consultant to numerous educational institutions.

 

According to Dr. Sears, brain balance is the idea that the functions of the brain are balanced so that the brain functions normally. Children who have been diagnosed with a developmental disorder or who have mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, ADD, ADHD, ATS, etc. have poor brain balance, he said. He also stated that poor brain balance is also one of the reasons most of them don't improve over time. The main reason for this is that most of their mental health professionals are poorly aware of children's brain health issues.

 

Dr. Sears defines brain health as "a condition in which the brain functions normally, with high efficiency and speed." He goes on to say that brain health and function are intertwined; children with healthy brain function also tend to have healthy brains. In fact, it has been found that mentally healthy children also have healthy brains. What's more, according to Dr. Sears, children with healthy brains will also be able to learn better because their brains will work at a higher level. Their memory will also improve and their thought process will become sharper.

 

However, if the child's brain function is abnormal, this can lead to a number of serious problems. This can lead to learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, poor academic performance, etc.

 

Moreover, these problems can also become permanent if not corrected in time

 

The main goal of Brain Balance is to promote the development of positive thinking in children. According to Dr. Sears, a child who believes that he has no problems and who believes that life is easy will be mentally healthy and will achieve more in life.

 

Brain Health of the Brain: Brain Health Education Programs: According to Dr. Sears, brain health can be achieved through learning about how the brain works, how the mind works, how to enhance mental performance, how to build self-confidence, how to avoid stress, how to avoid peer pressure, how to deal with depression, how to manage anger and anxiety, and how to cope with trauma. Brain Health and Learning Disorders: The Brain Health Centers is committed to educating parents and teachers, educators, psychologists, physicians, school counselors, speech pathologists, and medical staff about the benefits of mental health. Children who have mental illnesses can access resources, programs, and information through the Center.

 

The Center is also committed to providing education about Brain Health and Learning Disorders. This includes: information about children's brain health and learning disabilities, mental health challenges, children's cognitive and behavioral disorders, how children's brains are formed, how the brain processes information, the impact of environmental influences on children's brain development, the effects of drugs on children's mental health, the importance of nutrition and vitamins in children's brain health, and how to teach kids healthy ways of interacting with others, how to encourage social interaction. This Center also provides information about the importance of family, nurturing, and nurturing relationships, and how to help kids overcome emotional disorders.

 

The Center encourages children to seek out counseling and support whenever they need help and guidance.
